TatukGIS Viewer is a free desktop GIS Viewer which is a slimmed-down version of TatukGIS Editor, without the data editing, customization, and 3D map display features. TatukGIS Viewer features 16 user interface language options.
Main Features:
- Zooming in/out, panning on the map
- Multiple vector file formats (layer types) in the same project
- Legend control (panel) to organize layers and layer priority
- Extended Legend for hierarchical layers, layer grouping, sub-projects
- MiniMap window with World or continent map tab options
- Visual layer property control for all aspects of the map appearance (colors, styles, polygon fills, outlines, symbols, labels, transparency, etc.)
- Create or edit TatukGIS project files
- Open ArcView 3, ArcExplorer, MapInfo Professional project files and projects exported from ArcGIS/ArcMap using the free Arc2TatukGIS plug-in

The TatukGIS Viewer opens most GIS/CAD and raster image file types and most ArcView, ArcExplorer, and MapInfo projects. The TatukGIS Viewer offers data analysis features to generate thematic maps based on values in GIS data attribute tables. The TatukGIS viewer is exceptional software, not just because it is free to download, but it also reads all the typical GIS related file formats and even lets you add and mix them within the same project. The TatukGIS Viewer is very fast with huge data sets and can handle SHP files up to 2 Gb. It supports for fast R-tree indexing which enables easy manipulation of very large data layers. The TatukGIS Viewer supports a substantial list of useful features. Its user interface is provided in 16 different languages and it provides measurement tools for distance, area, and perimeter. One of the most interesting features is the ability to print the maps and images from within the TatukGIS viewer to a PDF file. It also provides an export feature in various image formats like TIFF/LZW, JPEG, BMP, PNG, PDF and PixelStore. This unique, handy, robust and easy to use software can be used by resource managers, educators, geo researchers and other users for sharing their map data presented in different formats to their clients, students or others. - Docked scripts panels not restored after switching from 3D mode
- Scripter Studio ask about save for not modified files
